What a fantastic collection of short stories! I haven't read anything by Darian Smith before, but I will definitely be looking out for more from him.What I love about this book is that the stories range from Pasifika tales to drag queens and zombies. There's honestly something in there for everyone. And after each one, Darian writes a brief description of how he came up with the idea, which I think is really cool. It's nice to get inside the writer's head and see their thought pattern.
Plus, he included an added bonus at the end - an excerpt from his novel, Currents of Change.
He has a beautifully descriptive way of writing too, really weaving the tale and setting the scene. I was easily drawn in to each and every one of them.
